During the period 2007-2010, three main programmes are being implemented in Europe, in Central Africa and in the MENA region (Middle East / North Africa) respectively.

International migration & media - Mime
The objective of this programme is to promote pluralism of opinion on international migration, by strengthening the visibility and expression of different components of our societies, focusing on media produced by and for communities of migrant origin in Europe - known as ethnic and diversity media.

Current projects
1. Mediam'Rad - ethnic and diversity media in Europe
In partnership with a number of European organisations, this project aims to:
- identify and raise awareness of ethnic and diversity media in Europe;
- foster greater appreciation of what ethnic and diversity media have to say about international and intercultural relations;
- build bridges between ethnic and diversity media and mass media.

2. IDEM - providing information on migration and development
This project is being carried out with organisations from six countries in the European Union. Its objectives is to increase accessibility of scientific and journalistic information on the links between migration and development, in both home and host countries.

3. In addition, the MIME programme is often called in as a consultant for other European projects on international migration and intercultural dialogue.


Pluralist media for peace and democracy - Central Africa
This programme aims to promote the rule of law, as well as human, social and economic development, by working with the media to create a public forum accessible to all citizens..

Current projects
1. Regional level - Strengthening the media of Central Africa
(Burundi, Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Republic of Central Africa (RCA), Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rwanda and Chad).
To launch and strengthen regional initiatives aimed at sharing information and networking journalists within Central Africa.

2. Sub-regional level - Media of the Great Lakes consolidating peace and the rule of law
(Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Rwanda).
To support the involvement of media in promoting good governance and peace both within these countries and among them.

3. National level - Media of the Democratic Republic of Congo supporting reconstruction and democratisation processes
To support the engagement of journalists in contributing to the return to peace and in building the rule af law in this country.


Media in the Mediterranean - Med in Med
This programme aims to strengthen the capacity of the media to contribute to peace and democratic processes in the MENA region..

Current projects
1. Promotion of independent media and Internet for civil society in the Arab world
(Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia and Syria).
